Osijek County Court on Monday with witness testimonies. #L#
The two men, who at the time when the crime was committed were
members of the Croatian Army's 130th Reserve Brigade, are charged
with killing 19 Serb civilians while off duty. They were
accompanied by a number of unidentified persons.
The defence proposed that their clients be released on bail, or
after their property is mortgaged and they are banned from leaving
their place of residence and bound to report regularly to relevant
state bodies. The court rejected the defence request, stating that
the grounds for keeping them in custody still existed.
The next hearing was scheduled for December 8. The trial started on
June 9 this year.
