ZAGREB, Oct 11 (Hina) - The number of tourists visiting Croatia in the first eight months of 2003 rose by six (6) percent to 7.35 million as against the first eight months of 2002, according to figures released by the Central Bureau
of Statistics on Friday.

There were 6.27 million foreign-holiday makers who accounted for
85.3 percent of the total number of tourists in the said period. The
rise in number of foreign guests was six (6) percent, while the
number of domestic tourists increased by seven (7) percent to 1.08
million.
The number of overnight stays rose by four (4) percent to 40.1
million in the January-August period this year.
