ZADAR, Oct 9 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Christian- Democratic Union (HKDU), Anto Kovacevic, said in Zadar on Thursday Croatia did not need a Europe which it would join by getting humiliated in The Hague. #L# Kovacevic told a news conference that General Ante Gotovina, being exposed to pressure and blackmail, should not surrender. He accused the incumbent coalition government of being nationally indifferent and asocial. Kovacevic said his party would not agree to blackmails such as "either Gotovina or the EU". "The HKDU always chooses general Gotovina", Kovacevic said. A vice president of the Croatian True Revival (HIP) party, Nenad Ivankovic, said on Monday that pinning a reward on Gotovina, which was done by the U.S. government, was a disgrace because a general of victorious army which defended its country was treated the same as Bin Laden or Saddam Husein. He said Croatian government should react to this. (hina) it(hina) it
