ZAGREB, Sept 26 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP), Anto Djapic, said on Friday his party was inclined to joining a rightwing coalition led by the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), but would also consider
other options because of the HDZ's "unclear attitude to the HSP at the moment".
ZAGREB, Sept 26 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Party of
Rights (HSP), Anto Djapic, said on Friday his party was inclined to
joining a rightwing coalition led by the Croatian Democratic Union
(HDZ), but would also consider other options because of the HDZ's
"unclear attitude to the HSP at the moment". #L#
"If the HDZ, the HSLS (Social Liberals), the DC (Democratic Centre)
and the HSP do not sign a post-election coalition agreement before
parliamentary elections, the HSP is prepared to consider giving
support to centre-left programmes and parties," Djapic told Hina.
He said the HSP would not allow the HDZ to keep it on "the waiting
list" until the HDZ saw whether or not it could form a government
only with the HSLS and the DC.
Djapic said he had never discussed inter-party cooperation with
Social Democratic Party (SDP) president Ivica Racan.
