devastated during the war, had been cleared of mines.

A 10-kilometre section of the 33-kilometre railway line was
completely destroyed during the Serbian aggression on eastern
Slavonia, while the rest of the track was significantly damaged.
Drempetic said that the reconstruction of the railway should begin
soon and that it could be opened for traffic in the second half of
2004.
