The meeting took place in the offices of the Jewish community in
Zagreb.
Da-Don said after the meeting that this was the first time Bozanic
had visited the Jewish community offices, adding that he considered
it a great honour.
"Today's meeting is of great importance to us Jews, and we hope we
will meet Archbishop Bozanic again soon," he said.
Extending his best wishes for the Jewish New Year, Bozanic said that
the meeting was aimed at deepening relations between the Catholic
Church and the Jewish community, particularly in Zagreb.
Asked if they had discussed the restitution of the property
confiscated after the Second World War, Bozanic said that the
Catholic Church and the Jewish community were in the same
position.
