ZAGREB, Sept 12 (Hina) - Zagreb County Court on Friday acquitted Vinko Zuljevic aka Klica, age 44, of the murder of Veselin Marinov, a former bodyguard to Mladen Naletilic aka Tuta and collaborator of Croatian intelligence
services.

Presiding Judge Erna Drazencic ruled that the prosecution failed to
prove that Zuljevic "lured" Marinov with the intention of killing
him out of revenge after Marinov had identified him to secret
services as an organiser of the illegal purchase and sale of
firearms.
The court accepted Zuljevic's explanation that he had fired in
self-defence after Marinov pulled a gun and fired.
Marinov was shot dead with five bullets in a Zagreb cafe on May 31
last year.
The case is pending appeal.
