Ljubljana recalled Bekes from Zagreb for consultations over
statements made by Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula which
Slovenia said deteriorated relations between the two neighbouring
countries and negated its right to access the open sea.
"I am glad the consultations are over and that the ambassador has
returned to Zagreb," Racan told reporters.
The PM expressed hope that this move would return the two countries'
friendly relations back to normal.
Hina was not yet able to get the Slovene Embassy to comment on the
return of ambassador Bekes to Zagreb.
