Picula said this at the closing of a two-week seminar on the
management of the defence system, held in Zagreb under the auspices
of the British Defence Ministry.
Picula said Croatia participated in the process of building trust
in the region and set good-neighbourly relations as one of its
strategic goals.
Croatia cooperates with its neighbours and takes part in peace
operations in Sierra Leone and Afghanistan, Picula said.
"The international community now sees Croatia as a reliable
partner," the minister said.
The two-week seminar was attended by representatives of the foreign
ministries from Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia-
Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania.
