Today, Zagreb university professor Ivo Josipovic held a lecture on
the development of international criminal courts from Nuremberg to
Rome. The lecture of this law expert was an introduction into
tomorrow's debate on a Croatian bill on cooperation with the
recently established permanent International Criminal Court (ICC)
and the UN war crimes tribunal (ICTY). The bill is currently in
parliamentary procedure.
The Human Rights Centre was set up within the Croatian government's
cooperation with the Office of the UN Commissioner for Human
Rights, after the latter closed its branch in the Croatian capital
at the end of 2002.
