The festival presents recent international productions that are
outside the genre and production mainstream, festival director
Branko Karabatic has said.
Among other films, the audience will be able to see "Listening", a
short film by British actor-director Kenneth Branagh, and Louise
Hogart's controversial documentary "The Gift", a film about the
phenomenon of deliberate HIV transmission.
In the new media section, the audience will be able to see
"Rant/Rant Back/Back Rant" by Peter Sinclair and G.H. Hovagimyan.
Directing couple Jean Marie Straub and Daniele Huillet will be
awarded for their long-standing contribution to the film art. Seven
films directed by the couple will be shown during the festival.
The retrospective programme also features the Korean experimental
film, the Canadian video, and a digital movie programme.
