SARAJEVO FILM FESTIVAL SARAJEVO, Aug 24 (Hina) - The film "Gori vatra" (unofficial translation "Fire is burning") by Bosnian director Pjer Zalica is the winner of the 9th Sarajevo Film Festival, which ended on Saturday.

the winner of the 9th Sarajevo Film Festival, which ended on

Zalica's film previously won the "Silver Leopard" at the Locarno
Film Festival. The jury at the Sarajevo Film Festival, which
included Croatian director Dalibor Matanic, decided that Zalica
should also win the best first film and best director awards.
Also awarded were "Mali svet" (Small World) by Milos Radovic from
Serbia and "Rezervni dijelovi" (Reserve Parts) by Damjan Kozele
from Slovenia.
This year's Sarajevo Film Festival attracted some 100,000 people,
who were able to see as many as 167 films from 44 countries,
including "Tu" (Here) by Croatia's Zrinko Ogresta.
