Cavic said that he was aware of Croatia's official stand about the
matter and that relations between the two countries were being
complicated over the issue. Corridor Vc is part of a highway to be
built from Budapest to the Croatian seaport of Ploce, and it should
run through Bosnia-Herzegovina.
"This issue must be in the interest of both entities and Bosnia-
Herzegovina. I consider it completely illogical to speak about
awarding the concession for the whole corridor to the 'Bosmal'
company," Cavic said.
Cavic leaves open the possibility that another company, besides the
privately owned Bosnian-Malaysian company, could offer more
favourable conditions for the construction of the highway section.
Bosmal has been mentioned for some time now as the company which
could be awarded the contract without a public tender.
