The UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), however, reiterated today that
only the UN Security Council may decide about Kosovo's status.
The leaders of Kosovo institutions opposed the content of the
declaration, stressing that it prevented negotiations between
Serbia and Kosovo.
The incoming UN civilian administrator for Kosovo Harry Holkeri,
will arrive in Kosovo on Wednesday for two days during which he will
speak with UNMIK representatives, representatives of Kosovo
institutions and the leaders of Kosovo Albanians and Serbs.
The fourth UN civilian administrator for Kosovo will take office
either in late August or early September.
