Wreaths were laid by the government's delegation, led by Defence
Minister Zeljka Antunovic and Deputy Prime Minister Goran Granic,
in front of the town cemetery's Stone Cross erected in memory to the
fallen soldiers.
On behalf of President Stjepan Mesic, his defence and military
affairs advisor, Gen. Petar Stipetic, and home policy advisor, Igor
Dekanic, placed wreaths, too.
Representatives of war veterans' associations and local
authorities also laid wreaths on the occasion of the eighth
anniversary of the liberation of Knin.
After that, the delegations were present at a service held in the St
Anthony's Church, and attended the ceremony of lifting a Croatian
flag above the town's landmark, Knin's Fort.
