Retired general Dzanko is charged with violations of humanitarian
law.
The details of the interview must not be revealed, his attorney
Nenad Boban told reporters in front of the Zagreb seat of the U.N.
tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. The interview focused on
Dzanko's war path from 1991 to 1993, "the south front in the wider
sense," he said, adding that the general's war path up to 1996 was
not a subject of the interview.
Dzanko was one of the commanders at the south front in 1991 and 1992.
He took part in Operations Maslenica, Flash, Storm, too.
The interview continues on Friday morning, when Boban expects "a
barrage of questions".
Boban is of the opinion the media's attention should be avoided
because it is detrimental to those who are interviewed.
Dzanko declined to speak to reporters. His lawyer refused to say if
this was suggested by him or the tribunal's investigators.
Boban said the investigators were professional, fair, and well-
informed.
