ZAGREB, July 21 (Hina) - The spending of the average Croatian household totalled 64,736 kuna (approx.8,631 euros) in 2002, rising by 5.8 percent (i.e. 5,595 kuna) from the previous year.

The spending for food accounted for 32 percent, namely 20.8
thousand kuna. Education costs made up 0.7 percent, or merely 439
kuna, of the year's expenditure, according to figures released by
the Central Bureau of Statistics.
Costs for food, non-alcoholic drinks, plus living and power costs
as well as costs for transport made up 57 percent of the entire
spending per household in Croatia in 2002.
