PRISITINA, July 16 (Hina) - Rustem Mustafa, one of the commanders of the now disbanded Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), was sentenced in Pristina Wednesday to 17 years in prison for war crimes during the 1998-99 conflict in
Kosovo.

Another three ethnic Albanians, members of the KLA commanding
personnel indicted for war crimes, were also given jail terms. They
were sentenced to between five and 13 years in prison by an
international court in Pristina presided by Briton Timothy
Clayson. This is the first verdict against a KLA member for war
crimes. The court is under the UN jurisdiction.
