Tomorrow's road blockade was not reported regularly and on time,
namely five days in advance, which is why the rally cannot be held,
the spokeswoman for the Interior Ministry, Zinka Bardic, told
Hina.
She says the law on public assembly prohibits gatherings and public
protests on highways and main roads if assessed that such protests
would cause serious traffic jams.
The Trade Union of Croatia Bus Drivers planned to block Zagreb roads
with 50 buses protesting against the fact that despite promises,
the City of Zagreb failed to unfreeze the Croatia Bus account which
was frozen due to a six million kuna debt. The company's account was
blocked at the request of the State Prosecutor's Office which
claims there are numerous irregularities in the company's business
activities.
