Tuesday evening gave a reception for participants and guests of an
international conference on election monitoring, which is held in
Zagreb on June 25-29, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. #L#
The conference is organised by the OSCE's Office for Democratic
Institutions and Human Rights, the GONG association for the
monitoring of elections by civilians, and the NEEDS European
network for support to elections and democracy, with the support of
the European Commission and participation by experts and monitors
from some 20 European countries, Asia, Africa, and North and South
America.
Picula thanked the organisers for their efforts to advance election
monitoring standards and the implementation of democratic
elections.
