ZAGREB, June 16 (Hina) - The State Prosecution Council (DOV) on Monday temporarily suspended the deputy state prosecutor in Zlatar, Krunoslav Canjuga, suspected of receiving bribes and revealing official secrets.

Zlatar, Krunoslav Canjuga, suspected of receiving bribes and

The Office for the Prevention of Corruption and Organised Crime has
launched criminal proceedings against Canjuga for crimes against
official duty, for which a punishment of up to five years in prison
is envisaged. The DOV concluded at a closed session today this made
Canjuga unfit for duty.
The DOV will consider a request by the State Prosecution that
disciplinary proceedings be initiated against Canjuga.
After being suspected of receiving bribes from and disclosing
official secrets to a Zagreb attorney, Canjuga tendered his
resignation to the duty of Zagreb State Prosecutor in May, after
which he was transferred to Zlatar as deputy state prosecutor.
