Cross-examining witness C-47, an official of the Serb Chetnik
Movement (SCP) from Subotica, Milosevic contested the witness's
statement that he had participated in the wars in Croatia and
Bosnia-Herzegovina as a volunteer, however, the witness stuck by
his testimony.
The witness, a former policeman, last week described how he had
recruited volunteers into the SCP and how the police, Yugoslav
People's Army and the Yugoslav Army trained and provided arms for
them at shooting ranges in Subotica and Bubanj Potok, near
Belgrade.
Milosevic claimed that the witness and his men had been given arms
in 1991 as JNA reservists to which witness replied: "No, as
Chetniks!".
He described how Chetniks and Arkan's troops, which he joined in
1995, committed crimes in eastern Slavonia.
Protected witness C-17 spoke about the activities of paramilitary
forces from Serbia, including the "Red Berets", in the area of
Mostar in 1992.
