BELGRADE, June 9 (Hina) - Veselin Sljivancanin, whom the UN war crimes tribunal at The Hague charged with war crimes in Vukovar in 1991, is no longer in Serbia and Montenegro, the secretary of the committee for Sljivancanin's defence,
Vesna Gojkovic said Monday.

1991, is no longer in Serbia and Montenegro, the secretary of the
committee for Sljivancanin's defence, Vesna Gojkovic said Monday.

"After a failed attempt to arrest Sljivancanin on (Serb Orthodox)
Good Friday, April 25, members of the committee transferred him to a
country that knows how to appreciate the courage and honesty of an
honourable officer," Gojkovic told Belgrade's weekly Balkan.
