BELGRADE, June 5 (Hina) - Following Croatia's request for the demilitarisation of a part of the border at the Danube, the defence minister of Serbia-Montenegro, Boris Tadic, on Thursday said that the Constitutional Charter of his
state union determined that the border should be controlled by the police and not the army of Serbia & Montenegro "which is in line with peace regional policy of the country".
BELGRADE, June 5 (Hina) - Following Croatia's request for the
demilitarisation of a part of the border at the Danube, the defence
minister of Serbia-Montenegro, Boris Tadic, on Thursday said that
the Constitutional Charter of his state union determined that the
border should be controlled by the police and not the army of Serbia
& Montenegro "which is in line with peace regional policy of the

"The constitutional charter foresees solutions that are in keeping
with our regional peace policies. We have not received any special
request from any neighbouring country. We are implementing reforms
and in line with the constitutional charter and the army of Serbia &
Montenegro will not guard the state border," Minister Tadic was
quoted by the Serbian Beta news agency as saying in the city of Nis.
