OSIJEK, June 2 (Hina) - The State Archives in Osijek and the Slavonia Museum in this eastern Croatian city on Monday published a German-Croatian book called "Book on Wine -- Scriptures from 1779", which was translated and prepared by
Stjepan Srsan, director of the Osijek State Archives.

German-Croatian book called "Book on Wine -- Scriptures from 1779",
which was translated and prepared by Stjepan Srsan, director of the

The recovered manuscript dating back 1779 was written with German
Gothic lettering and comprises more than 400 instructions on wine
dating from the Middle Ages.
It includes almost all the knowledge about wines from the Middle
Ages until 1779.
The manuscript came about by collecting information from castles,
monasteries and wineries in Vienna, Munich, Budapest and Osijek.
