The law extends the responsibility of bodies and persons in charge
of drafting a financial plan for budgetary and extrabudgetary
users, and drawing up consolidated state and local budgets.
Amendments to the bankruptcy law were adopted with a majority vote.
The amendments aim at simplifying and accelerating bankruptcy
proceedings, making them more efficient and introducing deadlines
by which decisions must be made and the procedure implemented.
Under the new law, only an attorney or any member of a public company
entered in the registry of companies can be appointed trustee in
bankruptcy.
Parliament also passed a law on the Miroslav Krleza lexicographic
bureau and adopted a government-sponsored bill on the
environmental protection in the first reading.
