According to a spokeswoman for Kucan's office, he has received an
invitation from the ICTY Prosecution to testify in the trial of the
former Yugoslav and Serbian president. Under the Slovenian law on
cooperation with the Hague-based UN war crimes tribunal, Kucan is
obliged to cooperate with the court, Spela Furlan said.
On a few occasions so far, Kucan has held talks with ICTY
Prosecution representatives on the disintegration of the former
federal Yugoslavia and on the collapse of the Yugoslav Communist
Party.
