Upon the ratification of the succession treaty, Croatia will obtain
another eight artefacts from the embassy building in Chile which
was owned by Croatia, the ministry's statement said.
The decision to take over the works of art was made by a team of art
experts from the foreign ministry at the seventh meeting of a joint
committee for the succession of diplomatic-consular assets of the
former SFRY, held in February.
The works were divided according to the nationality of their
authors while those pieces by unknown and foreign artists will
remain in their current locations.
Once the works of art are taken over they will be delivered to Zagreb
where they will be analysed and restored.
The items will remain the property of the foreign ministry.
