ZAGREB, May 8 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Thursday received a former Macedonian president, Kiro Gligorov, accompanied by his wife, Mesic's office reported.

Macedonia's former head of state spent several hours in Zagreb on
his way to Cavtat where he is to participate in an international
conference on economic co-operation between countries established
after the disintegration of the former Socialist Federal
Yugoslavia.
President Mesic and his guest exchanged their opinions on the
current situation in the region. Gligorov spoke about the situation
in Macedonia and about relations between the Macedonian people and
ethnic Albanians in that country.
