PM comments on transcripts inquiry

NOVI MAROF, April 26 (Hina) - In response to reporters' questions about an inquiry into transcripts delivered to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor said on Tuesday that all disputes and differing information should be clarified.

"Efforts are being made in that regard and I insist on that. We are also analysing activities of the office for cooperation with the international criminal tribunal," Kosor told reporters during her visit to the northern town of Novi Marof.

"We want Croatia to be a fully law-based country and this should be viewed in that context. The rule of law requires the truth also about the period mentioned in the ongoing discussions," the PM said, expressing hope that the inquiry would soon yield precise results.

"We need more work and less discussions," she added.
