MOSTAR, April 19 (Hina) - Seventeen inmates in a Mostar prison on
Saturday afternoon discontinued a two-day mutiny after their
demands to have the media cover the difficult conditions they claim
they live in were met. #L#
The inmates had blocked the part of the prison with their cells,
protesting against poor accommodation, poor hygienic conditions in
baths, and the non-existence of a room for the performance of
Islamic religious rituals.
Said inmates have not ruled out the possibility of new mutinies
unless conditions in the prison improve or if any one of them gets
punished because of the two-day riot.
Eleven Muslim, four Croat and one Kurd inmates took part in the
mutiny.
