Q-fever has so far been reported in some 40 flocks in Croatia.
The first reports about the outbreak of the disease in Croatia refer
to a flock of sheep near Sinj in early February. Several villagers
from Gala were infected but successfully treated.
The Ministry first decided to euthanise the sheep and goats and
compensate the owners for their loss.
