ISTANBUL, April 10 (Hina) - Croatian Vice Premier and Defence Minister Zeljka Antunovic, who arrived in Turkey on Wednesday evening for a three-day working visit, on Thursday held a series of talks with senior Turkish officials on the
promotion of the two countries' relations.

evening for a three-day working visit, on Thursday held a series of
talks with senior Turkish officials on the promotion of the two

During the talks, which were also attended by Croatia's Ambassador
to Ankara, Amir Muharemi, it was said that the two friendly
countries were important factors of peace and stability in the
region.
Antunovic's Turkish counterpart and host Vecdi Gonul reiterated
his country's wish for Croatia to join NATO. The two ministers
exchanged opinions on reforms in the Croatian Armed Forces, to be
conducted according to the highest NATO standards.
Both officials agreed that Croatia could benefit from Turkey's
experience in NATO and use it for a faster and more efficient
training of its armed forces. The two ministers also discussed the
exchange of visits by the most senior military officials.
Antunovic and Gonul also discussed forms of military cooperation.
Antunovic invited her Turkish counterpart to visit Croatia, which
Gonul accepted.
