Djapic believes that "in the case of an attack on Iraq the Croatian
government must have a number of measures regarding fuel supply and
the security situation".
"The HSP does not endorse the USA and allies' action in Iraq which is
not backed by a resolution of the U.N. Security Council," said
Djapic at a news conference. He added that "the motives for the USA
and allies to attack Iraq are not ideals, but raw interests of a
great power".
"We will propose that, if Iraq is attacked, a parliament session be
held to establish Croatia's conduct because it is clear that the US
will exert additional pressure on Croatia to make more concessions
regarding the use of its territory and the participation of
Croatian troops in the operation," said Djapic.
