ZAGREB, March 18 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian True Revival party (HIP), Miroslav Tudjman, and the president of the Croatian Democratic Christians (HD), Ante Ledic, on Tuesday signed a cooperation agreement.

"HIP and the Croatian Democratic Christians share mutual state-
building values and Christian guidelines as an important part of
the national identity," said Tudjman at a news conference after the
signing in Zagreb.
He stressed that the essence of the agreement was organisation of a
programme to take Croatia out of the social and economic crisis. A
joint council for Croatia's development will be established to that
end. It will consist of people with intellectual and moral
authority who are not necessarily in any party, he said.
Commenting on the current situation regarding a possible war in
Iraq, Tudjman and Ledic agreed that a war could have lasting
consequences for overall international relations, and stressed
that war wounds were still too fresh in Croatia to accept a war
option.
