This was said at a news conference of the Croatian Waters company
held on occasion of March 22, the World Day for Water.
Director General Jaksa Marasovic said that subterranean waters
were especially significant for the future of Croatia, since almost
90% of the population with water depends on them.
Croatia has available 1,280 cubic metres of recyclable water per
capita a year. Overall land recyclable waters are estimated at
5,880 cubic metres per capita, which makes Croatia one of the
richest countries in water.
