In the final race, held in Norwegian resort of Lillehammer, Italian
Giorgio Rocca was the victor with the time of one minute 45.44
seconds. Pallander finished the race as the second, but it was
enough for him to win the slalom trophy for this season.
Croatia's Kostelic, who was the seventh today, thus did not manage
to take the cup for a second time.
However, Ivica Kostelic, the second best slalom racer this season,
can take comfort from the fact his sister, Janica Kostelic, has
already wrapped up the women's overall World Cup and won the small
crystal trophy as the best in slalom in the 2002-2003 season.
