Along with the adjustment to European standards, the new
regulations of the Transport and Communications Ministry stipulate
that some fifty existing signs need to be improved or changed.
The final deadline for the adjustment of the entire traffic
signalling system to European standards is the end of 2005, while
all signs that are not included in the new regulations need to be
adjusted by this June.
This year's priority is the D1 Karlovac-Plitvice-Split state road,
on which the traffic signalling system should be changed by the
beginning of this year's tourist season.
