Mesic accepted Svilanovic's formal invitation to attend the
conference, which was welcomed with satisfaction.
The two officials expressed satisfaction with the progress
achieved in the normalisation process between the two countries,
especially last year.
Mesic and Svilanovic stated that the two countries should continue
solving open issues. Mesic underlined the return of the displaced
and refugees, which should be tackled jointly by Croatia, Bosnia
and Serbia/Montenegro, free and unobstructed property management
and cooperation with the international war crimes tribunal.
The two sides agreed that special attention should be paid to
shedding light on the whereabouts of persons who had gone missing
during the war.
