ZAGREB, March 5 (Hina) - Seven Croatian officers on Wednesday flew to Africa where they will be deployed in the UN peace-keeping mission in Ethiopia and Eritreia (UNMEE), the press office of the Croatian defence ministry
reported.

to Africa where they will be deployed in the UN peace-keeping
mission in Ethiopia and Eritreia (UNMEE), the press office of the
Croatian defence ministry reported. #L#
The Croatian officers will be military observers in the mission for
one year, under the command of the UN.
Their task is to monitor the implementation of a peace agreement
which put an end to a war between those two countries. The mission
was approved by the UN security Council in September 2000.
