ZAGREB, March 4 (Hina) - The parliamentary committee on internal affairs and national security on Tuesday unanimously supported a decision on setting up a council for the supervision of security services which, according to the Law on
Security Services, should be in charge of the civil supervision of their work.

decision on setting up a council for the supervision of security
services which, according to the Law on Security Services, should

After the committee's session, which was closed to the public, the
committee head, Ante Markov, told reporters that parliament would
soon invite all interested citizens to submit their candidacies for
the chairman and six members to the council within 15 days.
The committee chairman did not say when the other two heads of the
security services (intelligence and counter-intelligence) would
be appointed.
