Racan said this on Wednesday in the Dubrava Clinical Hospital while
attending the presentation of certificates for 25 students who
completed their Masters in Management in Health which was conducted
by the "Andrija Stampar School of National Health." Some eighty
students were promoted at the ceremony for the 2003/2040 school
year.
According to Racan, the Management in Health course was evidence of
global competitiveness and attraction to Croatia.
Reputable lecturers from 14 leading world universities, including
Yale, Harvard, London University, Berlin University and Milan
University, are guarantee of the success of Croatia to educate
managers for future European health standards, the Premier said.
He noted that in the past three years, over a billion kuna
(approximately 131 million euros) were invested into building and
equipping health centres.
Health Minister Andro Vlahusic, who was one of the participants of
the course, stressed that health required better administration
seeing that it annually handled over 14 billion kuna (1.8 billion
euros).
