the company's steering board discussed the resignation later in the day and asked Radin to stay in office until his term expired, Radin withdrew the resignation.

The Italian Union's Executive Council's chairman, Silvano Zilli,
said after the board session that by March 23, the council would
appoint a new director or elect a new acting director.
