OSIJEK, Feb 23 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS), Drazen Budisa, said in Osijek on Sunday, that his party firmly opposed the US military operation in Iraq and that "the main goal of Croatia, as an
European county, must be integrating with Europe but not as part of a reserve corps of the former Warsaw Pact countries which, following the command of the US, must stand up against the so called Old Europe".

Party (HSLS), Drazen Budisa, said in Osijek on Sunday, that his
party firmly opposed the US military operation in Iraq and that "the
main goal of Croatia, as an European county, must be integrating
with Europe but not as part of a reserve corps of the former Warsaw
Pact countries which, following the command of the US, must stand up
against the so called Old Europe". #L#
The HSLS does not want Croatia on the foreign political plan "to
behave as an international puddle", which would "enter
associations losing its own identity", Budisa said at the electoral
assembly of the Osijek-Baranja HSLS.
Budisa said his party would go to the elections independently and it
would chose its partners depending on the election results and
political processes in the government and the opposition.
