ZAGREB, Feb 21 (Hina) - The Croatian Journalists' Society (HND) on
Friday voiced concern about Croatian reporters being increasingly
exposed to threats. The most recent example is Globus weekly's
reporter Gordan Malic, who was threatened in court by a defendant
charged with murder. #L#
Two days ago, Malic was threatened by Vinko Zuljevic Klica,
indicted for killing Veselin Marinov, at the beginning of the
trial.
"The fact that he made the threat publicly, in a courtroom during a
trial, and that his threat was not entered into the court record is
especially disturbing," the HND said in a statement.
The society requests judicial organs to enable all Croatian
reporters to freely report from court, without pressure and
threats.
