Del Ponte arrived in Kosovo a day after three Kosovo Albanians
indicted by her tribunal were extradited to the Hague. They will
enter their plea on Thursday.
Fatmir Limaj, a Kosovo MP, indicted together with those three, was
arrested in Slovenia on Tuesday at Del Ponte's request.
She said the Hague tribunal would appreciate Limaj's willingness to
surrender voluntarily.
Steiner said the most important thing was that people in Kosovo knew
the rules of the game.
Limaj used to be one of the commanders of the former Kosovo
Liberation Army (KLA). Alongside ex-KLA members Karadin Baljaj,
Isak Musli, and Agim Murtezi, he is charged with detaining,
torturing, and killing ethnic Albanian and Serb civilians in
Lapusnik camp.
Today Del Ponte wrapped up her three-day trip to the region during
which she visited Belgrade, Podgorica, and Skopje.
