of Croatian-Russian relations, primarily economic ties, were the main topics of talks that Croatian President Stjepan Mesic and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin held on Monday night in Moscow for virtually an hour. As far as foreign affairs were concerned, the two presidents shared their thoughts about the Iraqi crisis. Speaking about strengthening economic ties between Russia and Croatia, the two presidents pointed to the possibility of including Croatian shipbuilding in the realisation of a huge project by the Russian government to modernise its commercial fleet. In addition, there was talk about the possibility of Russian investments into developing Croatian tourism as well as co-operation in the energy sector which would amongst else include the
