Parliament president Zlatko Tomcic will be present at the signing
and the leaders of all parliamentary parties invited to attend,
government sources said.
Croatia will express its wish for EU admission in the form of a brief
and concise statement, they added.
There is no uniform application form for states to express their
wish to join the Union. Some have submitted their requests in the
form of 30-plus page statements and some in only a few sentences.
Croatia will enclose a resolution on accession parliament adopted
by consensus of all political parties last December.
Also included will be a promotional CD containing statements by the
most senior state officials and information about the country.
Racan will submit the request to Costas Simitis, the prime minister
of current EU chair Greece, in Athens this Friday.
