The project of building the centre and a Muslim cemetery near
Srebrenica should cost some five million euros.
High Representative to Bosnia Paddy Ashdown said that more than
half of the planned funds had been collected, primarily thanks to
donations by the United States, the Netherlands and Turkey.
The authorities of the Bosnian Federation are also participating in
financing the project, while the authorities of the Bosnian Serb
entity have offered no assistance.
