ZAGREB, Feb 12 (Hina) - BMC Software, one of the leading global producers of enterprise management software, on Wednesday held its first forum in Croatia. At the forum it presented its regional partner, Zagreb's computer company
"Imaves", and marked its entry into the Croatian information technology market.

In his opening speech, BMC's regional director for central and
eastern Europe, Keld Stix, said numerous changes were occurring on
the Croatian computer market.
The head of the government's Office for Internetisation, Mladen
Mauher, said that a bill on electronic trading should enter
parliamentary procedure by the end of June or the start of July.
He said that pilot projects for primary health care and hospital
information systems could start functioning in several days' time,
since bidders would soon be invited to talks.
He said the company would join in the reform of the judiciary, i.e.
the creation of an electronic database, registers and criminal
files, as well as land books.
The director of the research and analyst company, IDC Croatia,
Boris Zitnik, said that at present it was early to speak about a
system management market, since it was still in its infancy
stages.
The Croatian information technology market has grown by some 25
percent, and in 2001 it was worth about US$12.06 million. Database
servers accounted for 5.7 million, security software for 3.04
million, archive software for 1.71 million, and system and network
management software for 2.24 million dollars of the amount.
